The Eisner-winning creative team behind Gideon Falls, Primordial, The Passageway, Ten Thousand Black Feathers, and Tenement—Jeff Lemire and Andrea Sorrentino—will take The Bone Orchard Mythos outside the realm of Earthly gravity with the upcoming original graphic novel, Starseed. This harrowing tale of extraterrestrial horror and thrills will hit shelves in October from Image Comics.

Starseed will bring Lemire and Sorrentino’s terrifying supernatural vision beyond our planet to Mars. Here readers will follow seven members of a rescue team in search of their missing colleagues… but the darkness they find instead goes far beyond scientific comprehension.

“We wanted to take the horror of The Bone Orchard Mythos to a whole new setting, and Andrea and I both love sci-fi and cosmic horror,” said Lemire. “This is a critical book in the mythos and readers won’t see the ending coming.”

Sorrentino added: “As an huge fan of the Alien franchise I couldn’t wait to finally work on some horror sci-fi, and Starseed incarnates all that I love about the genre: isolation, atmosphere, and a big dose of fear of the unknown.”

This chilling new story is perfect for fans of horror/science fiction mashups like that of Alien, The Event Horizon, and Jeff Vandermeer’s Annihilation.

The Bone Orchard Mythos: Starseed (ISBN: 9781534378773) will be available at local comic book shops on Wednesday, October 2 and independent bookstoresAmazonBarnes & NobleBooks-a-MillionIndigo, and Waterstones on Tuesday, October 15.

The Bone Orchard Mythos is an ambitious expansion of the powerhouse creative team—Lemire and Sorrentino—and spans multiple books and across a variety of different storytelling formats. Each title in The Bone Orchard Mythos tells its own unique, self-contained tale—some as stand-alone hardcover graphic novels, some as miniseries comics, and some as longer format maxiseries comics—but they will all be set within the same world and add to the overall horrors that await within the Bone Orchard mythology. This shared horror universe includes The Passageway, Ten Thousand Black Feathers, Tenement, Starseed, and more to be announced.

Hello! I'm Natsumi Vélez, editor and part of videogames.com. I focus on finding the most exciting news. I have been a player for as long as I can remember, I know how to defend Pokémon names well, but generation 5 is my favorite of all besides Pokémon X Y and I always chose Snivy and Fennekin in those two games. He has only played one old game from my Zelda days, which is Spirit Tracks, it is my favorite but I still have to finish it, as a child it was somewhat difficult. I also enjoy anime from Candy Candy, Doraemon and Sailor Moon, the series before Sailor Moon Crystal, super fan of Sailor Pluto's transformation music, and I watch anime more from this era like Spy x Family, A Silent Confession, Apothecary Diaries, Osomatsu-San, Shield Hero, BNA (Brand New Animal known by the creator who also made Luluco San and Little Witch Academia as well as an episode of the Star Wars series “Visions”) Romance Killer, My Fiance (The One with Miss Miyo) the odd episode of Dragon Ball, Love Live, I think all the Ghibli movies except his son's except for one, My Hero Academia, Blue Period (my favorite) and more. I know how to draw, write and dance, I could soon make covers of the news I publish if there is an opportunity. New generation Gamer, with an eye for the latest news on video games and entertainment.
