Emergence key features include:

TREASURE HUNT GAME MODE – Enter the Reach, salvage valuable treasure, and escape without getting blown up! In this slightly more relaxed looting expedition across the Reach, fight AI ships, complete quests, gather treasure, and extract at any time to turn hauls into rewards.
FLEET BATTLE GAME MODE – Engage in point-based 3v3 ship battles where a win is secured by gaining points through blasting other players and respawning ships, or securing multiple Artifacts. Jump straight into the action, battle for control of Artifacts, respawn, and keep the fight going.
PSIONIC PROSPECTOR, CHARLIE – Charlie can instantly revive allies without channeling, teleport to allies within 150 meters, and is healed by cosmic storms, radiation, fire, and shock fields.
OUTLAW SOLO AND TWO-PERSON CREW SHIP – Jump into the pilot’s seat of the Outlaw, a ship that can be played solo or with a two-person crew that is resistant to boarding and specializes in speed.
CUSTOM GAME LOBBIES – A long-requested feature since launch, Custom Lobbies allow players to host their own Wildgate matches. When playing in Artifact Brawl mode, players can create a lobby, set a few basic options, and invite friends (or rivals)!
ALIEN LOCATIONS – Explore the Euphonic Spheres, a new Point of Interest (POI).
THE DEAD WORLDS REACH ZONE – A perilous new region of the Reach where survival takes cunning and grit. Here, resources are scarce, and danger is everywhere. Scavenge and harness vampiric devices to drain energy from shipwrecks or eerie crimson towers.
THE RESONATOR – Use the Resonator, a new rhythmic weapon that is part energy cannon and part grenade launcher. Charge the Resonator by hitting objects with its beam, then blast away with a charged-up right-click grenade for explosive damage.
THE MEDIC (DRONE) — The third member of Wildgate’s robo-buddy family and pocket paramedic. Deploy it anywhere inside or outside a ship, and it’ll hover near its owner, patching up prospectors or allies in range.

New Characters and Outfits

For the first time the AZX Railway is bringing passengers to the surface! This update introduces three new costumes linked to the AZX Team’s expedition:

• Diesel: Winter Sweets and Brid: Silent Track: Receive special new outfits from Nora, one of the first civilian passengers brought to the surface by the AZX train. Acquire a relaxed-looking casual outfit for Alternate versions of Diesel, and a demure-looking ensemble for Brid.
• Blanc: Fortune Express (Gacha Skin):  Bringing in fortune to users at Coin Rush, players can acquire a brand new outfit with Blanc, a member of Squad 777!

New Story Event and Minigame

• Story Event: TERMINUS TICKET: Follow the AZX Team as they embark on a journey to fulfill the wishes of their passengers. The story focuses on the Railway attendants’ original aspiration to run a “train bound for happiness.”
• Minigame: AZX Service Time: In this casual puzzle game, players link together numbers amounting to 10 to remove them. Experience a relaxing and rewarding puzzle-solving experience.

The Winter Update also includes several quality-of-life improvements:

• Union Raid Optimization: Balance updates to the Union Raid Hard Mode.

Indie developer and self-publisher The Behemoth released its second update to their fifth title, Alien Hominid Invasion, on Steam today, April 29th 2024, with consoles soon to follow. With the release of “Update Part 2: The Juicy Variety Update”, aliens can divebomb back into the run’n’gun action with a variety of new and updated hazards, enemies, areas, and loot modifiers to the game, along with a brand-new mutation!

After releasing on November 1st, 2023, Alien Hominid Invasion received the first part of this two-part update in early December, adding 23 new achievements, seasonal head unlocks, and an improved map algorithm. The Behemoth is ever grateful to players for sending in feedback and looks forward to the community experiencing some of their requested changes being worked into the game.

“In this update, we’ve made the most changes to the game since its release with new content that synergizes with things previously implemented in an effort to create more variety on a level-to-level basis,” shared Dan Paladin, Art Director and co-founder of The Behemoth. “A new mini-boss that can be defeated then driven as a vehicle and entirely new level layouts should help do the trick, but as always, we’ll be keeping an eye out for feedback and analyzing the changes ourselves to see if there’s anything else we can get done for the most bang for our buck!”

This ‘juicy’ second update packs more variety into the game by introducing new content and mechanics, including three beautiful level areas, dangerous hazards (crafty aliens can use some to their advantage!), game-changing loot modifiers (dodge roll while dropping a bomb!), lower intel requirements (spend less time pushing papers!), a brand-new alien mutation, and the ever-anticipated, all powerful mini-boss that you can pilot after defeating: the MECHA F.R.O.G.! (Giant Killer Metal Amphibian food not included, operate at your own risk).

• New mutation (class): The Orbiter
• New hazards (level modifiers) including the all new Grind Lines, for when you feel like skating a half-pipe while invading Earth

Gather the mysterious gears that appear in Dino Survival matches to trigger a boss encounter with a wily, shapeshifting robot from another dimension.

Exosuits and Gear: Six new Beta variants join the armory today. Packing unique playstyles and abilities, they round out the Exoprimal roster to a total of 30 playable suits. The incendiary Mortar is also making its debut today as the game’s 10th Rig. On top of this, a variety of new Modules are available to unlock, offering even more choice and customization for generating robust combat data.

Time Loop Rebellion: In this new 10-player co-op boss mode, Exofighters can take on the game’s final battle with a superior level of challenge. Defeat Leviathan, earn Rebellion Points, and unlock exclusive rewards.
