Following a breakout season with game-of-the-year awards and critical acclaim for its “Endless” game series, independent developer Amplitude Studios is proud to announce today it has sold more than 2 million accumulative units of its strategy-based series. Including debut title Endless Space, follow-up Endless Legend, and the roguelike-dungeon defense-style Dungeon of the Endless on PC and iPad, Amplitude’s commercial and critical success is found within its unique blend of artistically imagined visuals and innovative UI, its refreshing takes on all-too-familiar genres, and its uncanny ability to take complex systems and concepts and transform them into beautiful, accessible games.

In addition to its 2 million unit sold milestone announcement, Amplitude has sold more than 1 million units of its first space-strategy title, Endless Space (released in summer 2013) and 500,000 accumulative expansion packs.

“We want to stay totally focused on who we are and why we created Amplitude in the first place – to make the games we love to play,” said Romain de Waubert de Genlis, Chief Creative Officer, Amplitude Studios. “We have built our team around that goal, and together with our community we are doing everything we can to make each game better than the previous one. We owe whatever success we have to the great people we work with and to the feedback and support we get from our awesome community.”

Known for its deep, engaging, and gorgeous 4X strategy games, Amplitude Studios won the venerable 2013 Golden Cube and Community Choice Unity Awards for Endless Space and the 2015 Best 3D Visual Experience for Endless Legend.
