HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE:

Leading the auction are two iconic grail pieces from Steven Spielberg’s Jaws (1975), presented following the film’s landmark 50th anniversary last year. Headlining the selection is the screen-matched Harpoon Gun used by Quint (Robert Shaw) and Matt Hooper (Richard Dreyfuss), accompanied by its original case from aboard the Orca. The piece carries an estimate of $250,000–$500,000. Also offered is Quint’s screen-matched Fenwick fishing rod with production-used reel. Featured during the film’s early shark encounter and handled by Quint, Hooper, and Brody, the rod is estimated at $75,000–$150,000. Together, these pieces stand as two of the most significant artifacts to ever surface from the movie and head to public auction.

The auction also features standout pieces from the Star Wars universe. Leading the curation is a Light-Up C-3PO head from Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back (1980), the only known example of Threepio’s head from the second film to appear on the collector market, with a pre-sale estimate of $350,000–$700,000. Also offered is Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Luke Skywalker’s (Mark Hamill) hero lightsaber hilt from Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015), seen during Rey’s confrontation with Kylo Ren and later returned to Luke Skywalker on Ahch-To. This lot carries an estimate of $50,000–$100,000.

Two further highlights come from Ridley Scott’s Oscar-winning epic Gladiator (2000). Leading the pair is Maximus’ (Russell Crowe) arena helmet and mask, a standout piece originating from the personal collection of legendary Australian rugby union player David Campese, to whom it was gifted directly by Crowe. The helmet is estimated at $125,000–$250,000. Also offered is the helmet of Tigris of Gaul (Sven-Ole Thorsen), the feared and previously undefeated gladiator defeated by Maximus in one of the film’s most iconic battles. Originating directly from its designer, illustrator Sylvain Despretz, the helmet draws inspiration from the French comic series Astérix and Murena and carries a pre-sale estimate of $50,000–$100,000.

The three-day Live Auction runs from 25–27 March 2026, with global online, absentee, and telephone bidding available throughout the three days.

• The winners of this year’s gamescom award have been revealed. During the ceremony at the gamescom studio powered by IGN, trophies were handed out across 19 categories, celebrating the standout highlights of the world’s biggest gaming event.

The undisputed star of gamescom 2025 was Resident Evil Requiem. Capcom Entertainment’s survival horror blockbuster triumphed in four categories, winning Best Visuals, Best Audio, Most Epic, and Best Sony PlayStation Game. With additional nominations for Pragmata and Onimusha: Way of the Sword, Capcom also walked away with the award for Best Lineup.

Ubisoft likewise celebrated multiple wins. Anno 117: Pax Romana was named Best PC Game, while the company’s presence at gamescom earned both the Best Booth and Best Business Booth awards selected by the jury. As the fourth Harbinger of the Fatui, Arlecchino aka “the Knave” shows an overwhelming strength
in combat with the use of Pyro, a polearm, and a special mechanic – the“Bond of Life”. First found
in some Fatui Operatives and certain weapon effects around Fontaine, the “Bond of Life” effect
stays on its target and prevents healing until the victim receives the same amount of healing equal
to the Bond of Life. However, Arlecchino is able to utilize the “Bond of Life” on herself to
strengthen her own attack.

When Arlecchino becomes a member of your team, how to pile up her Bond of Life with her
Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst is the key to surviving and sustaining an efficient offensive
rhythm. When Arlecchino has a Bond of Life greater than or equal to a certain percentage of her
health bar, she will enter a “Masque of the Red Death” state, converting her Normal, Charged, and
Plunging attacks to nonoverridable Pyro damage and consuming a portion of her current Bond of
Life to deal more Normal Attack damage and reduce her Elemental Skill cooldown. Arlecchino’s
Elemental Skill can apply Blood-Debt Directives and damage on multiple targets, and the Blood-
Debt Directives can be absorbed to increase her Bond of Life when she uses a Charged Attack or
heal herself when she uses her Elemental Burst. And her Elemental Burst is the only way to heal
herself in combat due to her unique Talent.

If you encounter the Knave as your enemy in the new Trounce Domain, how to out-healing the Bond
of Life and repay the Blood-Debt Directives she applies to you will be crucial to victory. With the
Bond of Life active on you, all her attacks against you will be enhanced. But if you manage to out-
heal the Bond of Life and repay the Debt, you will be rewarded as your Charged Attacks against her
are enhanced. As the fight proceeds to later phases, the Knave will gradually reveal more of her true
power as her crimson bone wings unfold. Travelers who are Adventure Rank 40 or higher can now
challenge her directly via a Quick Start in Adventurer’s Handbook, or follow her Story Quest to
raise the challenge.

Despite being a ruthless Fatui Harbinger with a horrifying power, Arlecchino is also called “Father”
by the children from the House of the Hearth with great trust and respect. The House of the Hearth
is a Fatui intelligence organization operated by The Knave. It takes in children who no longer have
a home due to all manner of reasons, and teach them a variety of disciplines. In Arlecchino’s Story
Quest “Ignis Purgatorius”, you may find out the unique charm of the character and why she is called
“the Father” in her past.

Arlecchino and Lyney may be recruited in the first half of Version 4.6 Event Wishes, followed by
Wanderer and Baizhu in the second half. In addition, the new weapon “Crimson Moon’s Semblance”,
a 5-star polearm that enhances the combat ability regarding the Bond of Life, will also become
available in the first half of Version 4.6.

Just in time for “Ghost Machine Day” the first bespoke “Ghost Roast,” a light roast blend created by Comics on Coffee is available for pre-order, with more to come.

As the E3 2019 video game trade show rapidly approaches, Nintendo provided more details about some of its activities around the June 11-13 event in Los Angeles. Nintendo confirmed that the Nintendo Switch games available for people to play on the show floor include Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, which were the focus of a recently released Pokémon Direct. Other games on the show floor include Luigi’s Mansion 3, The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening and MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE 3: The Black Order, in addition to various other games playable in Nintendo’s booth. Fans will hear details about additional upcoming titles for Nintendo Switch during the Tuesday-morning Nintendo Direct presentation, with continued information during the week on Nintendo Treehouse: Live, with a focus on indie games on Thursday, June 13.

“The 2019 lineup for Nintendo Switch aims to deliver smiles with many different unique games and experiences,” said Nintendo of America President Doug Bowser. “Games available this holiday season will be the focus of our booth, and no matter where you live, you can participate in the fun events by watching Nintendo Treehouse: Live during E3.”

Some of Nintendo’s activities during the week of E3 2019 include:

• Multiple Game Tournaments: Teams from around the world gather to compete in multiple Nintendo Switch games on Saturday, June 8, at The Theatre at Ace Hotel at 929 S. Broadway St. in Los Angeles. The action starts at 11 a.m. with the Super Mario Maker 2 Invitational 2019, in which four members of the Super Mario Maker community will compete in a variety of Super Mario Maker 2 courses. Next up, fans can enjoy the action of the Splatoon 2 World Championship 2019 and the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate World Championship 2019 3v3 tournaments. The line for entry starts forming at 8 a.m. in front of The Theatre at Ace Hotel. Fans who want to watch in person can gain free entry after receiving an event badge in line on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors will open at 10 a.m. People can get additional ticket information at https://e3.nintendo.com/. The show on Tuesday, June 11, starts immediately following the Nintendo Direct presentation. For the next two days, the show is scheduled to start at 9 a.m. PT. For the first time ever, Nintendo is dedicating Nintendo Treehouse: Live programming on Thursday, June 13, to focus on indie games. • Warp Pipe Pass: As always, Nintendo will have a variety of games to play in its booth. Aptly named the “1-Shot Demo,” players must take on the challenge of surviving the horrors of Raccoon City in just 30 minutes. If players complete the mission objective under 30 minutes, they can restart the mission until they use up their full time. If players succumb to the zombies during their 30 minutes, they can continue any number of times until the full 30 minutes have been reached.

The end of the demo reveals a brand new cinematic trailer exclusive to demo participants. While players cannot restart the playable demo after their time is up, there are no limitations on how many times the trailer can be viewed.

In the “1-Shot demo,” players step into the boots of rookie police officer Leon S. Kennedy as he arrives at Raccoon City Police Station in the ultimate worst first day on the job. Leon must survive vicious zombies and solve puzzles to find safe passage out of the station. With an entire building of flesh-eating nightmares lurking between Leon and his escape while the clock ticks down, players need to be sure they’re killing more than just time.

The game also includes a side story called Minion Quest: The Search for Bowser, which tells the story of the game from the perspective of Bowser’s minions, led by Captain Goomba. Nintendo revealed that two new amiibo figures would be introduced: Goomba and Koopa Troopa. The new amiibo and the existing Boo amiibo figure will be compatible with the game. The amiibo, and the game, are scheduled to launch separately on Oct. 6.

Nintendo ended the day by making a splat-tastic mess with an international flair. Competitors from four different global regions (U.S., Japan, Europe and Australia/New Zealand) competed for world dominance in the 2017 Splatoon 2 World Inkling Invitational. “Deadbeat” from the United States emerged as the new global champions.

The four-person teams competed in a best-of-seven final round featuring Ranked Modes from the game. “Deadbeat” will get their name engraved on a sweet Splatoon 2 trophy and will have global bragging rights.

A sampling of other exclusive content revealed today during Nintendo Treehouse: Live at E3 included:

· Fire Emblem Warriors: Colosseum mode offers different scenarios with Fire Emblem heroes facing off and highlighting their over-the-top moves and action. In this scenario, Xander, the crown prince of Nohr, storms Hoshido Castle on a mounted stead through a gauntlet of different Fire Emblem heroes, like Corrin, Marth and Chrom to an ultimate final showdown with Ryoma. Additionally, two new amiibo figures, Chrom and Tiki, will be compatible with the game.

· Super Mario Odyssey: Members of the Nintendo Treehouse showcased live gameplay of an exclusive area not available in the show-floor demo, revealing new game-play mechanics, new capture targets and new ways of interacting with the environment. This lush, wooded kingdom showcased some of the surprises in store for players when Super Mario Odyssey launches on Oct. 27.

· Metroid: Samus Returns: Earlier today, Nintendo announced a new Metroid game for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems: Metroid: Samus Returns, a modern reimagining of the 1991 Game Boy adventure Metroid II: Return of Samus. Nintendo Treehouse members also announced two new amiibo figures – Samus Aran and Metroid – will be released as a set alongside the game. This game is also compatible with the Zero Suit Samus and Samus amiibo from the Super Smash Bros. series. (amiibo functionality details will be revealed at a later date.) While supplies last, fans will also be able to purchase a special edition of the game, which includes a physical version of the game, a sound-selection CD featuring 25 tracks from across the Metroid franchise and a reversible title-sheet insert for the game case.

Metroid: Samus Returns was announced on Nintendo Treehouse: Live at E3 2017 and will be exclusively available for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems.

Shrines of Trials: More than 100 of these locations are scattered around the world for players to find, and in some cases finding the Shrines can be a puzzle in itself. As a result, Shrines offer more compact challenges that can be solved in a variety of ways. In order to earn a Spirit Orb from the monks who designed these challenges, players must overcome challenges or solve puzzles.

Runes: While exploring Shrines, players can earn Runes. For instance, the Magnesis Rune can help Link lift and toss metal objects. The Remote Bomb has two different types of bombs: rolling spherical ones and cubical ones that stay in place. The Stasis Rune briefly stops moving objects, while the Cryonis Rune freezes water and causes an ice pillar to appear.

Weapons and Combat: The game contains a wide variety of weapons, many new to the series. Players must find weapons or take them from enemies, but weapons wear out as you use them. Players can also time offensive and defensive maneuvers to temporarily slow time and connect with a flurry of strikes against their opponent.

Food: In another break with conventional gameplay for the series, players hoping to replenish their hearts or score some easy rupees will come up empty when they cut grass. Link can forage for a variety of foods in his environment, including apples and mushrooms. He can also hunt for food. Consuming uncooked foods gives him a modest health increase, but cooking different kinds of ingredients together will result in dishes with different effects, such as cold or heat resistance, for a limited amount of time.

Climate: From snowy areas to desert heat, Link must dress appropriately for the weather. If he needs to stay warm, he can don appropriate clothing, warm himself with a fiery torch or even eat food to maintain his body temperature and his health. Link also needs to be careful during lightning storms – if he is equipped with metal equipment during a downpour, he can find himself attracting deadly lightning bolts.

amiibo Compatibility: A new series of detailed amiibo figures specific to the game were announced this morning, and Treehouse staff finally revealed how the Wolf Link amiibo from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD will connect to the game. When players tap a Wolf Link amiibo to the Wii U GamePad controller, Wolf Link will join Link to attack enemies on his own. He initially has three hearts, but players can raise his heart count by completing the Cave of Shadows and carrying over the save data from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD. Wolf Link can be summoned once a day, and disappears when his hearts run out. However, you can use Wolf Link again the next day.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is scheduled to launch simultaneously for both Wii U and Nintendo’s next system, code-named NX, in 2017.

The STEM Challenge is open to middle school and high school students in the U.S. in grades five through twelve. Students may enter as individuals or as teams of up to four members. Entries can be created using any game creation platform such as Gamestar Mechanic, Unity, GameMaker, and Scratch or as a written game design document. The deadline to submit entries is August 15, 2016. Each winner will receive a cash prize of $1,000, as well as game design and educational software. Student winners will be invited to a special event at National Geographic in Washington, DC in November 2016.

Best known for her collaboration with Jillian Tamaki on This One Summer, Mariko Tamaki brings a new voice and mission for Lara Croft in the upcoming Tomb Raider series, which follows the iconic adventurer through a new set of challenges, exotic locations, and—of course—tombs.

“Mariko Tamaki’s writing is impactful and emotionally resonant,” said series editor Patrick Thorpe. “When I was researching her work for Tomb Raider, I read This One Summer cover to cover and said to myself, ‘That was perfect.’ Since becoming an editor, I don’t know that I’ve ever said that.”

“I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to write up some adventures for Lara Croft. Varys will be the twenty-third figure in the series and is slated for in-store release in April of 2016, just in time for the launch of season 6 of Game of Thrones.

Ygritte, quick witted with a temper as fiery as her hair, is a skilled archer living in the frozen wilderness north of the Wall. She is the tempestuous lover of Jon Snow and also his foe in battle.

Raised an aristocrat, the beautiful and cunning Margaery Tyrell is the widow of Renly Baratheon and was betrothed to Joffrey until his death. Later wed to Tommen Baratheon, she is imprisoned by the Faith Militant, a victim of Cersei’s schemes. Her fate is still pending as season 6 approaches.

Prince Oberyn Martell, also known as the Red Viper of Dorne, is a noteworthy character. His battle with Gregor “The Mountain” Clegane is one of the more exciting moments in the series.

Grey Worm has emerged from slavery to fight for Daenerys as a free man. Skilled at both battle and subterfuge, he is a sly warrior.

Response to the Game of Thrones collectible figure line has been overwhelming, and additional characters are in development for release in summer and fall 2016.

Sanrio designer Yuko Yamaguchi first approached Yoshiki to write the song in 2008, however it was not until his performance this week that the song was shared with the public. Yoshiki dedicated Hello Hello to Kunihiko Tsuji, the late VP of Sanrio and a close personal friend. The song will be released at a later date in multiple languages.

“I am very honored to be given the opportunity to compose this song,” said Yoshiki. “I hope that Hello Kitty and the theme song will bring more peace and the melody of love to the world. I want to share this with my children one day.”

Yuko Yamaguchi added, “we are so grateful to have the internationally acclaimed artist Yoshiki compose the theme song for Hello Kitty in honor of the iconic brand’s 40th anniversary. When I first met him in the winter of 2007, I knew right away that Yoshiki would be the perfect person to pay tribute to her.”

In 2009, Sanrio created “Yoshikitty” modeled after Yoshiki and the first Hello Kitty doll to be officially named after somebody. “Yoshikitty” shares the iconic rock star’s famous look of half-spiked-half-wavy blond hair, purple eye shadows and black clothing, although she retains her cute red bow.

Yoshiki has been making headlines in the US with his legendary band X Japan who recently performed their first stateside concert in four years at New York’s Madison Square Garden. John Battsek, Executive Producer of the Oscar-winning Searching For Sugar Man, started principle photography at the MSG concert for a documentary he is making about X Japan and their tumultuous history, which involves several breakups and the deaths of two of its members. The band has ultimately overcome these obstacles to sell 30 million albums and singles to date and to become one of Asia’s most legendary rock bands. Stephen Kijak (Scott Walker: 30 Century Man, Stones In Exile) will direct.

As one of Asia’s most influential music artists and biggest rock icons, Yoshiki composed the theme song for the Golden Globes® and also composed and conducted the Super World Orchestra at the opening ceremony of the World Expo. Yoshiki’s compositions also include a piano concerto that he performed alongside a 77piece orchestra celebrating the tenth year of the Emperor of Japan’s reign.

Yoshiki will also appear this Sunday, November 2 at Stan Lee’s Comikaze convention at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Yoshiki will join Stan Lee on a panel to discuss their collaborations, including the comic series based on Yoshiki, Blood Red Dragon.

X Japan, led by co-founder, drummer, pianist and songwriter Yoshiki, will return to New York City for their first concert since 2010, performing both fan favorites and previously unreleased music from the band’s decades of recordings. This Madison Square Garden concert marks a significant milestone for the band who made their U.S. debut with a Rockefeller Center press conference over 20 years ago, which presented the fierce J-Rock stars to an American audience.
