Studio Wildcard today launched two huge expansions for ARK: Survival Ascended. The Scorched Earth expansion map, a free download for all ASA owners, is filled with six desert-themed biomes teeming with dangerous new creatures including Deathworms and the ultimate desert steed: the Fasolasuchus. Second is Bob’s Tall Tales expansion pass, adding new gameplay features to each main map and four larger-than-life stories of the legendary “Bob” – voiced by Karl Urban (The Boys) — sharing his absolutely pivotal, undeniably central role in ARK’s history to young Meeka, voiced by Auliʻi Cravalho (Moana).

Additionally, Scorched Earth Expansion Map launched today as a re-imagined version of the original desert-themed area now developed in Unreal Engine 5. Scorched Earth takes ARK players to an entirely new land, composed of six unique, desert themed biomes – dunes, high desert, mountains, canyons, badlands and oasis – each with their own aesthetic and ecosystem. Littered with ruins, geysers, and intricate ancient cave systems, survivors will find a whole new frontier to explore and master. Travel back and forth between the Island and the Desert to team up with hundreds of players across both worlds or play locally!
